Dr Craig Bowers

Craig Bowers is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney and has recently joined the firm. With nearly 30 years’ experience in intellectual property, Craig brings deep technical and strategic expertise across a wide range of chemical and engineering technologies.

Craig specialises in contentious proceedings before the Opposition Divisions and Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office. His practice also encompasses end-to-end patent support and client relationship management, including assessing inventions for patentability, drafting high-quality patent applications, filing and prosecution before the UKIPO and EPO, managing global patent portfolios, and providing freedom-to-operate and infringement opinions.

He has expertise in FMCG technologies, including personal, dental and household care formulations, packaging and delivery systems, nutrition processing and formulation, as well as medical devices, prosthetics and imaging technologies. Craig also has substantial experience in air-conditioning fluids and systems, water management systems, and oil and gas technologies.

Craig is motivated by seeing clients successfully bring products to market, gaining real satisfaction from knowing he has helped them navigate freedom-to-operate challenges and secure robust IP protection to support commercial success.

Across his previous roles, Craig has developed extensive in-house and private practice experience, advising on high-value, commercially driven IP strategies.
