Trainee Patent Attorney

After completing her Ph.D, Courtenay joined Lawrie to pursue a career in IP. During her doctoral research, she focused on the self-assembly of peptide-based hydrogels using electrochemical methods.

Courtenay assists in drafting and prosecuting global patent families, performing due diligence reviews, preparing and filing registered designs, providing freedom to operate opinions, ownership advice and infringement opinions.

Driven by the desire to make a positive impact, Courtenay is passionate about helping clients safeguard their inventions and foster business growth. She recognises the vital role that IP plays in shaping the world around us, and she takes pride in contributing to the development of innovative solutions that enhance our everyday lives.

A bit about Courtenay

Courtenay has a creative side which loves to pop out – it must have been honed from her performances at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
